It is a beautiful area with mountains and hills and, the further up in the area you are, the more countrified it becomes with pine trees. A far cry from the barren landscapes and housing developments of many coastal areas.
It
is a mainly farming area, made up of Country Fincas, the main crops being grapes for the local wines
(there are bodegas in most villages selling their products), almonds and
olives

local industries are quality shoes, leather bags, salt and marble (Pinoso
