Situated on the 4th floor of the Costa Azahar I building, just a few minutes walk from the beach, the 2 bedroom south-facing apartment enjoys a peaceful but central location, so all amenities of the resort are easily accessible. The terrace has views of both the sea and the mountains to the west. There is a cafeteria and bar in the block, and a large supermarket is just five minutes walk away. This can supply all food and household items you may require for your stay, and has its own cafeteria. Another ten to fifteen minutes walk brings you to the heart of Marina d’Or where there are many shops, restaurants, bars and hotels, and of course the famous seawater spa which is the largest in Europe. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment block is a children’s play area and also a swimming pool which is open from June to September. These are for the use of guests and residents of the apartment block only. Parking is available outside the block as well as a dedicated space in an underground car park accessed via security gates.The apartment can sleep a party of up to four (one double and two single beds), in two rooms. A further two guests can be accommodated by utilising a sofa bed in the main living area. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped, and blankets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied. The living room has an air conditioning and heating unit, and also a TV with DTT tuner and DVD / CD player.
Marina d’Or
Marina d’Or is Spain’s largest purpose-built holiday resort, very popular with the Spanish, but largely undiscovered by the British and Northern Europeans. It therefore reflects the Spanish way of life - dont expect it to be like Brighton or Blackpool - it’s much less crowded for a start and there aren’t endless pubs, discos, fish and chip shops etc., as might be found in the Costa del Sol. However, there are plenty of quality restaurants specialising in Spanish and other European cuisine, as well as cafeterias, bars and coffee-shops. There is also an "Irish" pub. Most of these will be found in and around the three large hotels at the southern end of the resort. Marina d’Or is famous for its indoor saltwater spa which has many exotic facilities such as Roman Baths, therapeutic jaccuzzis, saunas, and milk and mud baths. There is an associated Health and Medical Centre where you can obtain holistic beauty treatment, massages, physiotherapy, aromatherapy, and anti-ageing treatments. Marina d’Or has a wide expanse of sandy beach with adjoining grassed areas ideal for picnics. There are also beautiful gardens with fountains, statues, fishponds and children’s play areas. Many water sports are catered for, either in the resort itself, or in the surrounding areas. The warm Mediterranean climate and seas make it an ideal location for a family holiday all year round.
The resort is continuing to evolve. There is a theme park, children’s fairground, and an aquapark under construction, due to open shortly. Other sports facilities include tennis and squash courts, crazy golf, and football pitches.
There are many shops and stores around the resort, including supermarkets, the largest of which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There are also mini-markets, clothing and beachwear shops, souvenir shops, drug stores, newsagents, banks, and Internet facilities.
A car is not strictly necessary, certainly if you intend to stay within the resort, but would be useful if you want to stray further afield. Local transport in the form of buses and taxis is available and bicycles can be hired. The nearest train station is in the town of Oropesa, about 3km away.

Splendid apartment is located in the fabulous Marina dOr holiday resort at Oropesa del Mar, approximately 45 mins drive north of Valencia airport. On the fifth floor, the apartment comprises lounge/diner, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, en-suite bathroom, second bathroom, a spacious terrace and underground car parking. The kitchen is complete with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. There is heating and air conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom. The apartment also has a DVD player and satellite television. There is a lift to all floors. The enclosed communal pool (June to September) has a separate childrens pool and toilet facilities. There is also a childrens play area at ground level. The apartment is located in a quiet position with the beach only 250m away and all the other resort attractions are within a 10 mins walk. Balcony is now enclosed with glass curtains, giving all year round use and additional safety for young children.
